We started swim lessons well before my daughter was walking, knowing how important it was to teach her how to be safe in and around water. We’ve continued lessons because, well, you can never be too safe, plus swimming is great exercise and she has so much fun doing it! An exciting milestone for us was when she swam across the pool for the first time. Now our daughter has become a little fish (still lots to learn – and still taking lessons) and loves being in the water. There are a number of swim classes in the Valley offered at dedicated swim schools or through parks and rec or private gyms (where you don’t have to be a member). If we’ve left any classes off the list, please let us know and we’ll be sure to add them. Not here is Swim with Glenda (no website or public contact info), Debbie’s Swim School (not currently offering classes in Napa) or In Shape (the new gym in Napa), although we hear they will be adding swim lessons soon.
