After a long weekend of BottleRock, I have to admit we are a little tired, but we are definitely ready for more live music! We’re excited about this Sunday, which kicks off a brand new event in downtown Napa, Napa Live: Inside & Out, and of course, we already have July 31 on our calendar for one of our favorite annual events, Napa Porchfest. In fact, one of our favorite things about long summer days when the sun doesn’t set until late in the day and the weather stays warm are the free outdoor concerts that take place throughout Napa Valley. We usually get several families together to enjoy a picnic and listen to the tunes while the kids boogie — tomorrow night, we’re picking up fried chicken from the new Southside for the season opener at Napa City Nights. Here’s our list of free concert series taking place this summer.

The 28th season of Musical Picnics kicks off on June 9 with The Sorry Lot, a 9-piece Irish folk and ballad band that delivers lively renditions of traditional drinking songs, as well as a few modern ballads and original tunes, while keeping the music true to its roots in the pubs and bars of Ireland. Bring a picnic or enjoy local foodtruck fare while lounging or dancing on the grass with friends and family. Desserts for kids 12 and under are free.

Yountville Concerts in the Park   FREE

Once a month on a Sunday evening, the Town of Yountville invites you to bring a blanket and a picnic and enjoy free live music.
