Description of Offerings:

The mission of the Napa Valley Education Foundation is to mobilize community resources and provide leadership to inspire children to achieve their educational potential by enhancing the priorities of the Napa Valley Unified School District. We do this by providing programs, raising funds, and uniting the community in support of educational excellence. Our main focus areas are Music & Arts, Wellness and Academics.

The Foundation houses the Music Connection, a program dedicated to connecting students and music. The Music Connection provides instrument rentals, concerts, camps and clinics. The Foundation and school district have partnered to create and fund the “Music for All” initiative, bringing music education to all 4th and 5th graders.

NVEF funds have helped create and fund the “PE for All” initiative, bringing physical education to all K-3 elementary school students. The Foundation holds the Race for Education which engages schools, families and youth each year to raise funds for wellness programs in the district. NVEF has also helped to secure a $1.2 million grant for NVUSD Wellness Centers on all four middle school campuses.

Camp Information:

We offer a summer music camp for all beginning NVUSD music students with 1 or 2 years experience on their instrument. Run by NVUSD music teachers, this camp is a two week, hands on learning experience that goes beyond the classroom. Participants will experience sectional, ensemble and one on one music instruction including music theory. The camp concludes with a free concert for family and friends.
